About Penner's
Penner's Men's Store was established back in 1916 by Morris
Penner. Morris, a Jewish immigrant from Poland, started working in a second
hand clothing and shoe store. After 14 years, his son, Sam Penner, joined
him in the business and together decided to establish a top-rate, quality men's
store. Sam passed away in June of 2002 at the age of 92 remaining active
at the store until the day of his death. Sam's dream was to become the largest
distributor of "Authentic" Guayaberas
in the United States. Today his dream has come true!
In 1995, Sam's grandson, Matt Penner came into the business and decided to sell our Guayaberas over the internet. Since then the Guayabera has become one of the most popular shirts made in the shirt industry.
Penner's carries the largest selection of customized Guayaberas made in Merida Yucatan, Mexico specifically for our store. Our shirts are made in "American" sizing for a true fit. Almost every Guayabera you see on our website is available in Long Sleeves which are extremely difficult to find elsewhere.
